How our officer structure works
All officers attend all board meetings and share a common dashboard. Each director's title unlocks the tools and responsibilities specific to their role.
Officers are elected annually by members in good standing in the last week of July. Terms last one year. Any member in good standing may run for any office.
The Chair is the organization's chief executive officer, presides over meetings, and sets each meeting's agenda. The Vice-Chair acts as Chair Pro-Tempore in the Chair's absence.
Endorsements require a majority vote of the Executive Board or the general membership, and changes to the bylaws take effect only with the approval of two-thirds of the general membership. New officer positions may be added by amendment to the bylaws. The permissions system is designed to accommodate new roles without requiring changes to the website or software.
